Protein Hydrolysis (Biocebo)

    • Protein Hydrolysis 40% or 30% obtained from enzymatic Hydrolysis.
    • It is used as bait spray and also as mass trapping
    • It has shelf life for 3 years
    • It can be easily stored ( in normal situation of storage)
    • It can be mixed with other pesticides
    • It does not have any risk for aquatics, humans and beneficial insects.
    • It is synchronized with IPM system
    • Protein Hydrolysis (Biocebo) will not leave any residue on the crops.
    Protein hydrolysis as a nontoxic attractive substance (food drive), that is used to attract all kind of mentioned below Diptera (flies) :
    • Citrus: Mediterranean fly ( Ceratitis capitata)
    • Olive: olive fly (Dacus( Bactrocera) oleae)
    • Cherry: cherry fly ( Rhagoletis Cerasi)
    • Cucurbits and melons : Cucurbits fly and melon fly(Dacus persica and Dacus cucurbitae)
    • Mango: Mango fly (Bacterocera zonata)
    • Fig: fig fly (Carpolonchea aristella beck)

    Biocebo is protein hydrolysis which is obtained from enzymatic hydrolysis and it is used as a food attractant for both male and female fruit flies. Biocebo is nontoxic substrate and it contains volatiles (which is mostly Amino Acids), and it attract intensively the fruit flies.

    Packaging: 20Lt bulks and 5 Lt Bulks.
    Amount and time of application:
    Below are the recommendations in order to control fruit flies:
    • Bait spray
    Mix 5 liter of Biocebo with 100Lt of water and then add 200cc Malathion pesticide.
    In one hectare consider 5 trees and spray the branch and leaves which are faced to the sun, if the infestation is intensive, then you should bait spray more trees.
    Regarding cucurbit flies you can spray 10 bushes in one hectare; you may also spray on the weed around the patch.
    • Mass trapping
    Make a solution from 50 liter of Biosebo with 50 liter of water and 0.2 liter Malathione , and then pour 300 cc of this solution in the Machphil Trap or Cera Trap. Due to the high efficiency of the Cera Trap this Trap has priority to Machphil Trap.
    • The quantity of the Cera Trap and Macpjil Trap depends on the pest population:
    • The quantity of the of the traps in the severe infestation is 80 traps/H
    • The quantity of traps in the mild infestation is 35 Traps/H
    • The quantity of Traps in low infestation is 20 Traps/H
    The placement of the Traps: Traps should be placed in the south of the trees in the height of 1.5 to 2 meter should be hunged; the traps should be placed in the orchards evenly.
    3) Solution spray (Mass trapping)
    In this method you may make solution from 1.5 liter of protein hydrolysis in 100 liter of water with one kind of insecticide and spray in all of orchards or the patch.
    The time to use the Biosebo in all three methods mentioned above is when the first adult insect is attracted by the traps or when before crops getting colored.
